Chabad Building Campaign

  • WE RAN OUT OF SPACE!

It all started in the warmth of Rabbi Eliezer and Mushky's home, where Chabad has welcomed students with open arms and shared Shabbat dinners, holiday celebrations, and countless conversations.

Every Friday, hundreds of students pack our home for Shabbat dinners, so many that seats fill quickly, and some even wait for chairs to free up. With just one residential oven and three dedicated cooks, we serve over 250 students each week. Our space is tight, yet we welcome everyone, even if it means some have to stand or gather outside.

Our current space, though filled with warmth and hospitality, has simply become too small for our vibrant, growing community. Jewish students on campus need a safe, welcoming place where they can gather for Shabbat, relax, study, and connect with friends. Especially in today's climate of growing antisemitism and anti-Israel sentiments.

They need a space where they can come and go freely, finding support, community, and even a cozy spot to decompress. It’s the best challenge we could ask for: a full, thriving community...Yet one without the room it needs. Just last Shabbat, 220 students filled our home and spilled into the backyard, with some having to leave for lack of space.

We have an incredible chance to expand our Chabad House by purchasing the house next door, transforming it into a 24/7 haven for Jewish students.

This new space would offer room for 250+ students at Shabbat, plus a tea room, library, lounge, and dedicated areas for classes and holiday services, a warm, welcoming place to celebrate, learn, and explore.

The purchase price is $1.3 million, and we are blessed with $850,000 in matching commitments, provided we raise the remaining $450,000 in the next two weeks.

The dream of a dedicated space, a true center for our community, is now within reach. With your support, we can bring this vision to life and create a lasting home for future generations. Join us in building this future.
